GUITAR PICKUP HEIGHT ADJUSTMENT

To adjust the truss rod system

Itʼs unlikely you will need to adjust your truss rod, as it is set at the workshop and can stay locked in for years to come. On occasion during global shipping from one climate to another the neck may move on its own due to Mother Nature. If she decides to move the water molecules around in the wood simply follow these simple steps to accommodate her.

1. Take a #3 fat tip Phillips screw driver (not included) and unscrew the center plug. This is just a cover for the hole.
2. DO NOT touch the other 4 screws, they are there to keep the neck on.
3. Place your screws far to the side.

Take your 5/32 allen driver from your supplied tool kit.

4. With some good light take a peak into the hole and you will see an allen head screw about 1 inch deep.
5. Insert your driver into the hole carefully and put a little force on it as you are wiggling the driver so that you can feel it slip into the allen head. You’ll know when it slips it. 6. DO NOT turn the driver more than 1 full turn from its natural position.
7. Forward bow turn clock wise
8. Backward bow turn counter clock wise
9. Neck adjustments MUST be done while the instrument is under string tension and in tune.
10. You may have to wiggle the drive a little when pulling it out of the hole.
11. Re insert your #3 phillips screw plug and only tighten snug. DO NOT over tighten to prevent cracking the paint around the countersink hole.

HOW THE ‘STRESS FREE’ TRUSS IS ASSEMBLED

WHAT IS THAT HOLE DOING IN THE NECK?

MOD

Henman Guitars are the fusion of minimalism, craftsmanship, art, and old school quality. We have created instruments for the guitarist who can truly appreciate handcrafted masterpieces.

The MOD is absolutely beautiful. The design is unique and spectacular, but what really makes this guitar stand out is its playability and tone. The tappable pickups offer a range of tones not often found on a single guitar. Before plugging the MOD into an amplifier, strumming the instrument acoustically you will immediately notice that it resonates through its body into yours like no other guitar you have played. This is the true test of a great guitar.

The finishes of all Henman guitars are named after Bond girls. The body is one piece African Mahogany with a figured North American Maple top and headstock. The 25.5” scale neck is 3-piece African Sapele with a figured Makassar Indonesian Ebony fingerboard. The three piece neck is a unique tension-free design created to remove tension from the neck allowing the guitar to resonate like no other. String tension is lessened by up to 80% over traditional guitars. Truss bar adjustments, while rarely necessary, are cleverly performed by removing a plug on the back of the guitar and simply inserting a supplied allen driver and making minimal turns in the desired direction.

The electronics include a 3-way toggle switch, 1 master volume with a push/pull to boost gain, and 1 master tone with a push/pull to tap from humbucker to single coil. All of the components are hand assembled and include brass interior parts. Both The neck and bridge pickups are Seymour Duncan seth lover humbuckers. Both pickups are tappable. Pickups are easily interchangeable with a 5 pin connector system, no soldering. More selected Seymour Duncan, Lollar and Fralin pickups also available or supply your favorites. Bigsby Original B5 bridge, exclusive Sperzel locking tuners, and Henman’s own exclusive machined tuning keys. Everything in the design of these guitars is deliberate and brilliant. Clearly the choice for the musician who appreciates true art, without sacrificing ultimate playability and tone.

QUOTES:
“Henman’s high end creations combine vintage tone ideals with the understated beauty of ultramodern materials, resulting in guitars that are both infinitely graceful and boundless in performance. I have yet to play another manufacturer’s guitar that is so equally capable of creating heavenly clean tones as it is wickedly omnipotent in the presence of high gain. “Masterpiece” is a description that isn’t often used, but it’s certainly deserved here.” – Eric Kirkland, Guitar World

“Every part of this guitar is a deliberate tonal choice, no compromises, and that’s something that can’t be found just anywhere. Check one out, and if it speaks to you, it will really speak to you.” – James Egolf, Premier Guitar

“F**kin’ brilliant!” – Steve Cradock, Paul Weller band

“It’s just beyond cool! It’s everything I’ve ever wanted in a guitar but have never been able to find. I’ve had Fender Custom Shop, Kolls, Briggs, Hamers, Gibson Custom Shop, PRS Private Stock…you get the idea. This stands above them all. I firmly believe this a 21st century classic.” – Edward Zawadzki ‐ Guitarist
